Billy, you know I love you and what I'm about to suggest is probably against everything you believe in, so I'll help you.

I know this tremendous hockey writer who wrote about the best, most colorful hockey goalie ever. You should buy this book because the author is great and the subject matter is awesome:

How's Raffl looking? What are the chances that he'll stick in the top 6? Picked him up in my league, already have Giroux so it would be awesome if he stuck on his line.

Really glad we pulled this one out, but we should still be looking for (somehow), an upgrade to our defense, Mason needs the support

nice 2 way player with speed & skill, he's given the line a different skill level replacing Hartnell.

It was amazing, this angle does not do it justice...the angle they showed just after the goal, you see him gain control of the puck and then shoot...I woke my kids up when I yelled , fortunately they went right back to bed!

That is the guy Lavi was talking about...I am thinking his hand and wrists are feeling a bit better these days, I don't think he was quite right at the beginning of the season...

Now to stop the bleeding on the defensive end...still need some speed to on the wings to play with the top teams, but it is a step in the right direction.

Looking forward to the book bill... In fact I'm gonna go back and read full spectrum then yours... I wanna get the whole 70's--80's lore backdrop refreshed... There's so many things with this club I just forget things until someone mentions them... So many things like deaths and freak injuries, crazy wins and devastating losses... So hard to keep up with it all sometimes.

We still need an upgrade on the blue line, we have several young forwards, and would love to see them package something

In the third period, it took the Flyers four-plus minutes to start to mount their comeback. At the 4:20 mark, Voracek swung out from the behind the net and circled hard into the slot, firing a puck home -- a type of goal that former Flyers right winger Mikael Renberg specialized in scoring during the heyday of the Legion of Doom. Giroux and Mark Streit received the assists.

I won't lie: I turned it off after the second out of frustration. My wife and I were watching the Pens game of NHL Network, and she said, "The Flyers are tied 4-4." I asked her 3 times if she was serious. I pulled up the game on my phone and saw there was 1:38 left. I decided I'd give it a minute and watch OT, and ended up turning it on to see 5-4 with 30 seconds left. Not wanting to tempt fate, I quickly switched back to the Pens and followed the countdown on my phone. I regret nothing.

Didn't you say a few weaks back you only saw the goals against during a game when you turned it on and off?

I am sensing a trend

I find that streit is starting to come around offensively of late. 2 assists last night and a plus 2 last evening.

It's only weird if it doesn't work!

God I was waiting for G to have a game like this. Maybe footage of 'the shift' should be required viewing weekly.

Just read Ek's update, did Danny's play fall off or is the Montreal coach an idiot?

I don't remember which game it was (Ottawa SO loss, I think), but yes, I only ever had it on and saw an Ottawa goal. However, I did watch the Washington win straight through, and was at the Montreal win. Maybe I can find some sort of pattern, though.
